Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), portrayed by Brie Larson, is a prominent character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

She is a former Kree Starforce member, initially known as Vers, who possesses incredible cosmic powers including flight, energy projection, and enhanced strength and durability. Her powers were obtained after exposure to the Tesseract energy core following an accident involving Dr. Wendy Lawson/Mar-Vell. She would later recall her original name when her Kree implant memory suppressor was destroyed, returning to her original life.

Captain Marvel (MCU) first appeared in the 2019 film, *Captain Marvel*, and subsequently in *Avengers: Endgame* and *The Marvels*.
